What we collect
When you create an account: your name, email address, and password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text). When you submit a group, event, or notice: whatever contact details you choose to include (e.g. phone, email, social links) — these are shown publicly once approved, since that's the point of a directory listing. When you use an enquiry form: your name, email, and message, which is forwarded to the relevant group.
How we use it
To operate your account and let you manage your group's listings, to send you emails about your submissions (approval/rejection notices, password resets) and enquiries from the public, and to keep the directory accurate and moderated. We don't sell your data or share it with third parties beyond what's needed to run the site (our hosting and email delivery providers).
Where it's stored
Data is stored in a managed Postgres database (Supabase) and the site is hosted on Vercel. Both are reputable infrastructure providers; neither has access to your data beyond what's needed to run the underlying service.
Your rights
You can edit or remove your group's public contact details at any time from your dashboard. To request a full copy or deletion of your account data, get in touch via any group's enquiry form or the contact details on this site — under Irish/EU data protection law (GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, or request erasure of your personal data.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. It's essential to the site working and isn't used for tracking or advertising.
