Carlow Mental Health Association was formed in February 2010 by volunteers with a passion for promoting positive mental health in Carlow. We work with local, regional and national organisations to provide signposting and information on supports for maintaining & enhancing mental and emotional wellness, as well as information on help available to those who are experiencing mental and emotional challenges. Our small but dynamic committee also provide a wide variety of free events and seminars throughout the calendar year.

Mensana Fest 2026 — A Month of Free Mental Health Events Across County Carlow
Carlow Mental Health Association presents Mensana Fest 2026 — a month of free mental health events across County Carlow, from Saturday 3 October (opening at Carlow Park Run) to Thursday 5 November. Every event is free and open to everyone; no booking is needed unless a listing says otherwise (Mindfulness with Mary Fleming on 17 October needs pre-registration on Eventbrite). Highlights include the KCLR outside broadcast at Carlow Garda Station on 10 October, where LUNA the elephant moves into her new home, 5 Ways to Wellbeing at Carlow Library, a Heritage Walk from VISUAL, and a series of Coffee Shop Conversations.
